David Wilson was a 28-year-old African-American man from Newark, New Jersey. He grew up in a tough, urban neighborhood, but managed to navigate his way out of poverty and into the world of news production in New York City. Now, meet another David Wilson: a 62-year-old white man from rural North Carolina. He grew up in Caswell County, where his ancestors once farmed tobacco. He now operates a small chain of BBQ restaurants in nearby Reidsville. Although they have never met, the two men share more than just a name...
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., MSNBC will premiere "Meeting David Wilson," the remarkable and inspiring story of a young man's reconciliation with his ancestors' history as slaves. The world premiere of "Meeting David Wilson," will be hosted by "Today" Correspondent Tiki Barber and followed by a 90-minute live discussion of racial issues in America.

This virtuoso performed admirably under harsh, adverse desert conditions and you should see what he can do on the stage… so come check out our new shows and help us get him warmed up to the blusirkut family… he’s a welcome addition to the team, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have him. We’re going to miss John and wish him much success with www.myspace.com/ontheone but we’re happy to have found Ryan and are looking forward to kicking ass this run… give it up to the funky beats!!!
(yes yes ya’ll)
First of all… I want to hear a HUGE round of thanks and applause for those hard working and generous cats over at Fringe Camp… They made our time in the desert such a wonderful and special event. So give it up for the Fringe!!! http://www.fringecamp.com/
They did such an amazing job on Sparky (http://www.fringecamp.com/spaceark/)… not to forget our good friends our friends at OBOP either who graced us with a tent on the esplanade during the burn… Thank you Tyler for creating the spark that helped cover blusirkut in playa dust…
Thanks also to all my friends who came out to support the sparky show from Paradox Lounge, Space Cowboys, Port Townsend Crew, Frank & Jim and their family, and countless others… you all help make this event worthwhile to me and everyone who knows you…
A NOTE: Normally we wouldn't put advertising on the site, but it's a way for us to help keep this project going. There will be ads at the bottom of the Sirkut Board Forum and below on this page. Please give us feedback on what you think of the advertisers and whether or not the ads are appropriate or distracting.
That’s right! Check out the ’Upcoming Shows’ below for dates…
Don’t be a wus… or be a wus if it makes you feel better… we like you anyway…
